GRP propellor shaftinstallation
GRP schroefas

Type Quick-Mount

The Quick mount system is a water lubricated sterngear installation developed by APC for easy and fast mounting. The GRP seawater resistant innertube will be mounted in the outer jacked steel or alminium tube.

The first step is to weld the steel or aluminium tube in the boat. Second step is to mount the GRP innertube with two Quick Mount clamping seals into the jacked tube. For longer shaftinstallations we developed a supporting insolator witch is mounted on the middle of the innertube to eliminate vibrations.

The QM system can be supplied with different shaftseals as Volvo-Penta stuffingboxes, Tides-Marine shaftseals or Profiseals.

Advantages

  • Less noise and vibration
  • No corrosion of the stern tube
  • Low assembly cost
  • Removable innertube and easy to change bearings
